Anti-Slavery Day 2019

Today, October 18th, marks Anti-Slavery Day - a day dedicated to raising awareness of, and taking action against, slavery in all its forms within the UK.

In 2016, TG passed a mandate applauding the Government on passing the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and calling for all involved parties to ensure that the legislation is upheld, to protect those who fall victim and to bring to justice those who would treat other - often vulnerable - human beings in such a way.

You can read more about Anti-Slavery Day here - but even if you can't take action today, there's never a bad day to let your community know that TG supports an end to modern day slavery - nor is there ever a bad day to speak out to the appropriate authorities should you suspect that a local business is involved in slavery.
