Campaign Hub

In 1953, TG passed two resolutions which would set the foundations for the campaign activity that remains at the heart of the organisation nearly 70 years later. These resolutions enable TG to express opinions on national affairs and to approach Government and other relevant bodies in relation to mandates passed at Annual General Meetings (previously National Council Meetings).

Though the initial resolutions stressed a particular emphasis on matters concerning women and children, TG has campaigned on a wide range of issues which impact on society as a whole. Members are encouraged to offer their support to national campaigns, but also to work with their communities to address local issues or improve how a national issue is handled by their local authorities.
