Platinum Jubilee Tea Party 21st June 2022

We all dressed up in our red, white and blue outfits for this Lovely celebration of the Queen's 70 years. There was an excellent raffle, a competition to guess and win the number of teabags in the teapot! The Drama Group performed a rhyming spoof of Pam Ayres' poem ' I wish I'd Looked after My Teeth', written by our own Janet Barrett about all our own problem body parts! We also enjoyed hearing some comical Limericks, written by our dear recently deceased member Mary Wisken. Naturally we ended with a perfect Afternoon Tea af sandwiches, cakes and Jam and cream scones, presented beautifully by Jenny Hill and our hard working committee members.. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
