Monthly meeting May 17th 2022

Sadly at the very last minute our speaker was unable to attend. He was due to speak about Hamworthy's History, however several of our members told of their memories of old Hamworthy,, in particular Marj Barton who told of being brought up as the child of tenant farmers on Lord Rockley's Estate before it was sold and part of it became Rockley Park Caravan Holiday site and the rest of it Turlin Moor Council Housing Estate. A fascinating insight into the changes wrought over the years, which was news to many of us but brought back memories to others.
