19th July 2022 Monthly Meeting

We welcomed Andrew Wiley, Chairman of the YFW Blood Bikes Group. This is a voluntary organisation of motor cyclists who ferry emergency medical supplies to Hospitals, Hospices and Nursing Homes etc. They respond to requests for help at any time, day or night in all weather conditions throughout the year. They receive no official funding, being entirely dependent on charity donations, all the while saving the NHS many thousands of pounds and providing a vital service. Many thanks to Andrew making us aware of their wonderful service, and all the volunteers who keep it going, not only on the front line but behind the scenes in many different ways.. Heroes one and all.
