TG Congratulates New Prime Minister Theresa May

Townswomen’s Guilds congratulate Theresa May on becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Jenny Rideout, National Chairman, commented: “Whilst Townswomen’s Guilds are a non-political organisation, we celebrate the achievements of women in politics – whatever party they belong to.”

Townswomen’s Guilds is the second largest women’s organisation in the UK, and with 700 Guilds and 24,000 members is experiencing something of a renaissance with a ‘new generation’ of members which is attracted by the events, friendship, crafts, opportunities to try new things and the campaigning on social issues offered collectively and by individual Guilds around the country.
